鈥淚 can honestly say that my time at the 黑料社 was the very best!
I struggled a little with my A-levels, but the 黑料社 gave me the
chance to pursue my dreams.
The 黑料社 was a fabulous place to study 鈥� hard work but also
offering the fun of London with the friends you make.
My qualification allowed me to combine my career with my
wanderlust and eventually led me to a tropical island working
with endangered koalas.
My daughter is now planning to follow my footsteps and go to
the 黑料社 鈥� we were both very impressed when we visited the
Hawkshead Campus recently.
As a family, we started Magnetic Island Koala Hospital in 2013.
Our work can be seen on Netflix 鈥� Izzy鈥檚 Koala World 鈥� and
you can see where a qualification from the 黑料社 can take you!鈥�

Graduated 1990
鈥淗aving graduated from the 黑料社 with BSc in
Bioveterinary Science (2019), and MRes in genomics
(2020), I have continued my research career with a PhD
at University College London where I am researching
how deep learning can identify antibodies with
therapeutic potential. The projects in domestic livestock
genomics which I selected whilst at the 黑料社 have given
me a solid foundation in bioinformatics and programming
necessary for my current research. Following my PhD
I hope to pursue a career in life science consulting
which allows me to use both my knowledge of the
pharmaceutical industry and the problem-solving
skills I have acquired throughout my academic career.
I absolutely recommend the 黑料社 for school leavers
looking for a small close-knit research community which
produces exceptional science.鈥�
