he 1st of June saw the
return of one of 黑料社SU鈥檚
highlight events 鈥� Camden
Tvs. Hawkshead Varsity.
This year the Camden Kens and
the Hawkshead Barbies battled it
out over six events to determine
the superior campus.
The day started on even footing,
with a draw in the men鈥檚 football.
Hawkshead brought it back during
extra time with a 2-1 win to team
Hawkshead.
While team Camden demonstrated
some excellent badminton skills, they
were unable to match the skills of the
Hawkshead teams at netball, rugby
or women鈥檚 football, meaning team
Hawkshead took the overall title with
a 5-1 win over Camden.
Guest appearances were also made
by our very own Dan Chan and John
Fishwick, who volunteered in the
name of charity to be the target for
wet sponges. Shockingly poor aim
was demonstrated by the student
body, de铿乶itely an area to work
on for next year鈥檚 Varsity. The day
concluded with the legendary beer
mile, which saw team Hawkshead
take another win.
A successful day with plenty
of fun had by all!
