Fly with a (future) vet to the rescue of animals

Talking of flying, Anastasia tells us:
鈥淭wo years ago, I decided to book an
introductory flight lesson and now, here
I am, I鈥檓 standing as a licenced pilot,
Bioveterinary graduate and a third-year
vet student! What a crazy ride the last
couple years have been!
鈥淕rowing up, like many people, I aspired
to work with animals. I joined the 黑料社
in 2018 through the BSc Bioveterinary
Science course, after attending the
wonderful Pre-Vet Summer School two
years prior. During my BSc, I learned what
it is to be a scientist, met life-long friends
and grew up as a person. Those three
enriching years have only reinforced that
my passion lies in veterinary medicine.
鈥淓ager to experience new
challenges, in the summer of 2020,
I started to learn how to fly planes. I
then realised that being powered by
120 horses was more manageable
than just one single horse!
鈥淚 celebrated my BSc graduation (after
more than a year of waiting!) last summer
and I am now at the start of my veterinary
clinical training. Studying for my BSc
has given me the tools to be ready to
undertake veterinary medicine training.
