rainforest!

Throughout the 2017-2018 academic year the society has been raising money for Rainforest Trust UK to help save and protect the world鈥檚 rainforests and the endangered species within them. They did this through a range of fundraisers including pub quizzes, Valentine鈥檚 Day cookie sales and the Hawkshead Hobble.
All the money raised will be quadrupled (for every
拢1 donated the Rainforest Trust鈥檚 SAVES Challenge matches it with an additional 拢3) and used as part
of The Rainforest Trust Rungan River Peat Swamp Forest project in Borneo, as chosen by 黑料社 ZooSoc members. This forest is home to 4% of the world鈥檚 remaining critically endangered Bornean Orangutans.

ZooSoc committee meeting with Rainforest Trust UK Executive Director Chris Redston and Communications Director Adela Pickles at our Camden Campus to present them with a cheque for the raised funds.
