Richard is Head of Orthopaedics and Professor of Orthopaedics at the Royal Veterinary College. He is a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Recognised Specialist and a European Specialist in surgery. He has worked in the Queen Mother Hospital since 2007 and is happy to recieve referrals on all aspects of veterinary orthopaedics. He co-manages the joint replacement programme at the ºÚÁÏÉç and has a particular interest in fracture surgery.
He has published extensively and also lectures both nationally and internationally on clinical orthopaedics. Richard also has a PhD in stem cell biology and is interested in advancing osteoarthritis diagnosis and treatment, including leading a stem cell clinic in the Queen Mother Hospital.

Dr Pead is particularly interested in fracture repair, arthroscopic surgery and joint replacement surgery. He also enjoys working in neurosurgery and soft tissue surgery, especially in the out-of-hours service, and is happy to assist colleagues in farm, equine and exotic practice when orthopaedic skills are called on.

Anna is a clinician with both the orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery teams at the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals. She is interested in all aspects of surgery and is heavily involved in clinical duties, as well as fulfilling research committments. She has particular interest in managing wounds, trauma patients and emergent presentations.

Rebekah is Deputy Head of Orthopaedics at the QMHA and a Lecturer in Small Animal Orthopaedics. She is a European and Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Specialist in Small Animal Surgery. She joined the ºÚÁÏÉç QMHA Orthopaedic team in January 2022.
Rebekah enjoys all aspects of orthopaedic surgery, but has a particular interest in fracture repair and arthroscopic surgery, as well as other minimally invasive surgery techniques. Her role predominantly focuses on clinical work and teaching veterinary undergraduate and postgraduate students, but she is also involved in research into a variety of orthopaedic conditions, including cranial cruciate ligament disease and elbow dysplasia.
