Monday 3rd October

October is Black History Month (BHM) and we look forward to this year’s celebration of the culture and histories of black communities. We will be advertising a number of events to educate ourselves and help us reflect on the contributions, achievements and experiences of black people in our communities and further afield. This year’s events will be based around the UK and the US Black History Month themes: “Time for Change: Action Not Words” and “Black Health and Wellness”.

In preparation for BHM, we want to hear from you! We’re inviting staff and students to highlight and share the history and achievements of black people who inspire you. We’d also like to hear any ideas and suggestions you have for activities that you would like to see during the month.

We’ve created a padlet wall for you to post your contribution. The link is here:

You can choose how you want to contribute – a quote, an image, your own words – be as creative as you’d like to be!
