SUPPORTNG STUDENT CLUBS AND SOCIETIES
Your donations enable Students’ Union clubs and societies to provide the best possible student experience for ºÚÁÏÉç students and support a healthy work-life balance by offering a chance for them to participate in a wide variety of extra-curricular activities.
Here’s just a snapshot what the Alumni Fund has been able to support this year...
   ROWING FOR AUSTRALIA
Over the Christmas period, the issue of the Australian wildfires has been a hot topic amongst the student body, who all have the same gravitation towards animal health and welfare. The ºÚÁÏÉç Boat Club decided to dedicate a 100km ergathon to IRES Australian Wildlife Rescue Organization, providing national emergency support to assist other groups working with wildlife in addition to their own rescues.
On 25th February, students and staff took their place on the rowing machine one by one and rowed towards the target of 100km within 12 hours. The amazing team of rowers managed to row an incredible 159km! Thanks to their extraordinary effort, £613.37 was raised.
This fund was matched by the ºÚÁÏÉç Animal Care Trust and shared equally with the Boat Club and this incredible cause for Australia.
The ºÚÁÏÉçBC will be aiming to purchase a new woman’s 8+ in order to replace the woman’s second 8s boat, Laura Antlett, which has been working very hard for the club for over a decade!
The new boat not only will help maintain the clubs competitive and good performance but will hopefully encourage more students to get involved in physical activity, supporting better physical and mental health throughout their studies.
TWELVE HOCKEY

At 8am the energy from the morning porridges kicked in, and made the next
