FUNDRAISING
Marathon training!
A s we welcome the beautiful Spring weather, we are thinking of our five intrepid marathon runners who have trained through some truly awful
conditions over the last six months and achieved some incredible fundraising, only to have a virus snatch it all away from them.
Undaunted, our incredible team are now re- scheduling their training plans and continuing with their fundraising until their new race date this October. We really feel for them - this delay will not be easy but we hope the victory this Autumn will be all the sweeter for it.
Someone once told us that the race itself is just the victory lap for all the hard work - we believe this to be true, especially given the circumstances they now find themselves in. So a huge thank you to Mark, Chrissy, Kim, Andy and Maria - we believe in you! If you’d like to support Team ACT, you can make a donation at www.rvc.ac.uk/act/donate.
FOR THE ACT
Run for Team ACT!
e have a few places on the start line of the Royal Parks Half Marathon scheduled for 11th October 2020.
It’s a perfect, flat course through some of the most beautiful parks in London
with the noisiest of support crowds to get you through.
Highly recommended as a first half marathon or as part of your training calendar for the year if you’re a seasoned runner.
