Could you embark on a life-changing journey?  Do something incredible this year and run the London Marathon for the ºÚÁÏÉç's Animal Care Trust. Whether you run it, jog it, walk it (or even limp it dressed like a chicken!) you'll make a real difference to critically ill pets. Gain a huge sense of personal achievement, tick something off your bucket list and help advance veterinary care by joining our London Marathon 2025 Team today!

Date: Sunday 27 April 2025

Due to a limited number of spaces, we are unable to guarantee everybody a place on our team. On receiving a completed application form, we will let you know if your application has been successful. If successful we ask for a £150 registration fee and for you to raise a minimum sponsorship amount of £1,500.

When you fundraise for the Animal Care Trust you enable us to support the ºÚÁÏÉç by:

  • investing in hospital equipment and facilities
  • funding ground-breaking research into animal and human health
  • supporting the veterinarians, veterinary nurses and scientists of the future through scholarships, grants and bursaries - helping to make education accessible for everyone.

Run for charity even if you get a place in the London Marathon ballot!

In July 2024 the results of the London Marathon ballot will be announced. If you're one of the lucky 17,000 or so who win a place in the ballot you can still run for us! Run with extra motivation, knowing that you're helping more critically ill animals return home.

When you run for us you'll receive support and advice throughout your journey. We invite our community of past runners, fundraisers and a trainer to share their knowledge with our current team. When you're on that start line, you'll have a wealth of real-life experience to draw from, helping you to achieve your best on the day. Feeling confident with your training and fundraising makes running the London Marathon an enjoyable and unforgettable experience. You'll join our fantastic community - we'll be here for you as much as you need - every step of the way.

There's no minimum sponsorship, just raise as much as you can. You can set up a JustGiving page, share it with friends and family and see the donations roll in!

We're happy to help you with your fundraising. If you'd like to know more about our work, or need resources (such as our Paws & Hooves magazine, a collection tin or a sponsorship form) please drop us an email. We arrange ACT running vests for our runners to wear on the big day. Personalised for you, whether it's your nickname or your pet's name, they're a great momento of what will be an incredible day. We'll need enough time to order these - so get in touch today to make sure you don't miss out! Drop us an email via the button below and let's chat. Every runner who joins our team helps raise awareness and funds for the ºÚÁÏÉç's lifesaving work. Your epic run can make a real difference to animals and the humans who love them.

Meet our Marathoners

What's it like running the London Marathon for the ºÚÁÏÉç's Animal Care Trust?

"Running the London marathon was one of best days of my life. It was amazing to discover how strong you can be. The crowds were phenomenal! If you get the chance to run, do it! You won't regret it. Seize the opportunity!" Emma
"It was the toughest thing I've ever done in my 43 years of living but the crowd were unreal! I ran for my beautiful cocker spaniel, Phoebe who had IMHA. Knowing that I was raising money for the ºÚÁÏÉç's Animal Care Trust, which funds research into this condition motivated me to keep going." Joe
"I ran for little Cherry who was the most loving dog and I miss her loads. It was a very emotional experience." Barbara
"Our beautiful Vizsla Cooper had inflammatory polymyopathy. Cooper had lost so much weight and was literally wasting away before our eyes. The love and care he received at the ºÚÁÏÉç was outstanding. Cooper is absolutely everything to us, he has got us through some of the hardest times of our life. I'm running the London Marathon for the Animal Care Trust because without the ºÚÁÏÉç we wouldn't have Cooper with us today." Gemma
"It was an incredibly inspiring day. Working for the Animal Care Trust I see first-hand the impact donations have in the ºÚÁÏÉç's animal hospitals, in research and in helping the next generation of vets and scientists. Knowing I was raising money for a cause I passionately believe in made it even more special." Mark
"It's such a fun atmosphere with so many people running for wonderful causes. I felt excited to be a part of it all." Kate
"If anyone reading this or having watched it thinks just for one single second they could have a go, I assure you you could! You will never regret it and it will be one of the best things you ever do. Thank you to everyone at the Animal Care Trust for giving us this opportunity and supporting us throughout - you have been amazing on this journey of training and fundraising. We hope we get to work with you again, just as soon as we've recovered from this one!" Andy and Kim
"I've been a veterinary nurse for nearly 18 years. I turn 40 this September and a big challenge is to get fit for turning 40. What better way to do this than running a marathon?! I've watched my husband and friends run it, this is my time!" Kay
