As the UK celebrates Volunteers’ Week, we’d like to thank our volunteers Linda and Helen. For two years Linda and Helen have helped our office run smoothly. From helping with database administration and general office duties to delivering eggs and baking cakes! Some tasks are seasonal such as folding raffle tickets or dressing graduation bears and we try and keep the work varied and interesting. Mark, our Fundraising Administrator explained,

“We really couldn’t do our jobs without them! With minimal supervision they are amazing and I would personally like to say a big thank you to them during Volunteer Week.”

Linda said,

“I enjoy volunteering for a charity so close to me. The people in the office (and the whole of the farmhouse) are lovely and are always very pleased for any help I can give. I never quite know what I am going to be doing when I turn up! Occasionally, we have a walk around the farm which is particularly good during the lambing season".

Helen explained,

“The Animal Care Trust (ACT) is an amazing charity, and my colleagues are a kind caring team who work hard. Volunteering has made me part of the team. I love all animals, so the ACT is an important charity for me to support”.

Hannah our Fundraising Manager told us,

“We are so grateful to Linda and Helen for generously giving their time to support the Animal Care Trust. We’re a small but busy team and so their hard work really does make a difference’’.

Our volunteers and supporters make a valuable contribution to our work. If you would like to find out about ways to get involved with our charity, please sign up to our mailing list.
